Meet the Chief Public Defender

Samuel L. Joseph, Esq.

Samuel L. Joseph has served as a public defender collectively for almost fourteen (14) years.  He has performed at various levels of public defender service during his career, to include misdemeanor, felony, juvenile and child support representations.  On October 1, 2013, he was appointed to lead the Office of the Territorial Public Defender as its Chief. During his term as Chief, he has been dedicated to fulfilling the mission of developing the best criminal defense law firm in the Virgin Islands.  Additionally, much emphasis has been placed on efficiency improving staff and client communications and securing resources to adequately ensure that clients receive the best possible defense.  At the OTPD we have taken a holistic approach to our cases, and it is our goal to continue to diligently and effectively represent each client.
