CIB Make Swift Arrest Of Coki Point Shooting Suspect That Injured Male Victim

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas USVI - On Sunday, June 16, 2019, at approximately 12:25 am, Mariel C. Newton Command officers responded to a call of an unknown individual laying on the public roadway in the area of Coki Point road. Upon officers’ arrival, they observed a black unknown male who sustained a gunshot wound to the area of the lower abdomen.

After further investigation of the incident, details revealed that the victim was robbed of US currency and then shot by the fleeing suspects.

On Tuesday, June 18, 2019, T’Quan Vanholten, age 23, was located in the Smith Bay area and advised of his Constitutional Rights, arrested for Assault 1st Degree, Assault 3rd Degree, Robbery 2nd Degree, Using a Dangerous Weapon During the Commission of a Crime, Possession of an Unlicensed Firearm and Aiding & Abetting.

T’Quan Vanholten was unable to post the $75,000 bail, and he was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his Advise of Rights Hearing.
